❄️ January 2025 ❄️

On behalf of everyone at the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation, we wish you a very Happy New Year!

We hope you had a wonderful holiday season and are looking forward to the year ahead. As always, we have a full calendar of events to keep you and your loved ones engaged this winter. Whether you're cozying up with a good book or attending an exciting Author Event, the Free Library is a safe, warm, and welcoming space. We look forward to seeing you at one of our many neighborhood libraries! We also hope you'll join us for an evening of intrigue and revelry as we celebrate Edgar Allan Poe at our annual Poe Party, hosted by the Raven Society! 📚💙

Event Highlight

You're invited to the Raven Society's annual Poe Party on January 31st from 6-9 p.m. as we celebrate Edgar Allan Poe’s 216th birthday!

Step into an evening of intrigue and revelry with heavy hors d’oeuvres, complimentary cocktails, and a touch of the mysterious. Don your moodiest party attire (think dark romance with a hint of drama) and prepare for a night inspired by Poe’s haunting legacy, where the line between reality and the macabre blurs.

Raven Society members receive 50% off their tickets! Become a member today to receive your discount code!

The Free Library is one of the most important educational and cultural institutions in Philadelphia. While the City of Philadelphia provides public funds for the operations of the Free Library, it is through the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation and the generosity of private funding from individuals, foundations, and corporations that the Free Library is able to offer many of the Library’s incredible programs and activities that advance literacy, guide learning, inspire curiosity throughout the region, and help deliver on the promise of an equitable future for all of Philadelphia’s children, families, and communities.
