⛄ December 2024 ⛄

With the holiday season upon us, we invite you to celebrate this time of year with the Free Library of Philadelphia! No matter how you celebrate, there is something for everyone. Explore the event calendar for fun and festive activities for all ages!

And while you're celebrating, don't forget—Giving Tuesday is TOMORROW! This worldwide movement celebrates the generosity of people who collectively come together to support their communities.

We need your help! Our Giving Tuesday goal is to raise $25,000. Together, we reached our goal last year, and your generous support immediately made an impact in neighborhoods across the city. Will you join us? Your gift of any amount to the Free Library of Philadelphia makes a big impact and provides crucial resources for programs all around the city!

The Free Library is one of the most important educational and cultural institutions in Philadelphia. While the City of Philadelphia provides public funds for the operations of the Free Library, it is through the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation and the generosity of private funding from individuals, foundations, and corporations that the Free Library is able to offer many of the Library’s incredible programs and activities that advance literacy, guide learning, inspire curiosity throughout the region, and help deliver on the promise of an equitable future for all of Philadelphia’s children, families, and communities.
