| | Did you know that National Library Week is April 6-12? It’s a time to celebrate the incredible impact libraries, librarians, and library staff have in shaping lives and building stronger communities.
Whether it's children discovering the joy of reading during storytimes, young adults getting free headshots, or seniors receiving tech help, the library offers something for everyone.
We’d love to hear why your local library matters to you! Share your thoughts HERE, and your comments could be featured in an upcoming newsletter or library publication. And if you'd like to celebrate National Library Week early by supporting the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation, learn more HERE. |

| | | | | | | From now until July 19, the Free Library of Philadelphia's Art & Literature Departments will feature nine large-scale reproductions of Kurt Vonnegut Jr.'s artwork, complementing an exhibition of over 20 of his rarely seen marker drawings at Drexel University's Paul Peck Center Gallery.
Thanks to art collector Heather Rose, this collaboration showcases Vonnegut’s unique perspective on societal issues and empathy, accompanied by programs that encourage community discussions on art and healing. |

The Free Library is one of the most important educational and cultural institutions in Philadelphia. While the City of Philadelphia provides public funds for the operations of the Free Library, it is through the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation and the generosity of private funding from individuals, foundations, and corporations that the Free Library is able to offer many of the Library’s incredible programs and activities that advance literacy, guide learning, inspire curiosity throughout the region, and help deliver on the promise of an equitable future for all of Philadelphia’s children, families, and communities. |
